Situation
QA had an ongoing co-marketing relationship with Microsoft Visual Studio. The challenge was standing out in a saturated developer content space without defaulting to generic AI messaging or product-first copy.
Task
I led creative concept, copy, and stakeholder management end-to-end. That included QBR reporting for Microsoft contacts and coordinating content that ran on both QA’s channels and Microsoft’s own.
Action
Developed a spy/noir creative concept as the campaign through-line. Three themes — VS Agent, MCP, and GitHub Copilot — each with its own carousel and visual direction. The MCP theme produced Eyes on You, built around the idea that something was already operating inside your stack. Co-produced the Bits & Pieces podcast on Microsoft Visual Studio’s own channel, positioning QA as the learning layer inside the VS subscription. Every piece drove traffic to Microsoft Visual Studio’s sign-up page.
Result
The MCP carousel drove 56,891 reach and 126,685 impressions on LinkedIn at 4.07% CTR and $0.08 CPC. On Facebook, the same content hit 10.34% CTR. The VS Agent post pulled 19,818 reach and 4.57% CTR. QBR reporting delivered to Microsoft stakeholders. LinkedIn’s average CPC sits at $3 to $5. This campaign delivered it at $0.08.
